Swinging his way onto the internet!
Nintendo upped its game with the online subscription-based gaming service, Nintendo Switch Online (NSO). The games uploaded on the service have given fans a fresh run at old flames we had as kids. You can call on Mario Bros. or create your island on Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Nintendo Switch Online offers 85 amazing games, including many Super NES and NES Classics.
NSO created a buzz when it was released in 2017, at no extra charge to users. The company said there would be a payment scheme in place but until then, the gaming library was open to all. Cut to September 2018, when they finally launched the service as a subscription-based model. They started 20 games to begin with, with other games to be released on an ongoing basis. Nintendo has spent quite a lot of time and resources in developing a competitor worthy of existing platforms like PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold. And three years later, Nintendo Switch Online is right there with both of these platforms.
The latest addition will only increase likeability
Donkey Kong holds an extraordinary place in the gaming community. The swinging fanatic and his buddy, Diddy Kong have been a fan-favorite franchise for twenty-six years now. And their absence was felt on the online gaming service. Donkey Kong Country is jacked with chest-pounding muscles, mighty barrel rolls, and his famous vine-swinging moves. He will take on his infamous enemy K. Rool and his reptilian crew of Kremlings. There’s the solo mode, a two-player mode where you can be against each other or play cooperatively in over 100 levels filled with different challenges and rewards.
And with the first one in, fans will be waiting for the next two parts in the game series.
There are other games as well!
Along with Donkey Kong, Nintendo will release two more games, let’s take a look at what they have in store for us.
