There are apps to let you watch Netflix and stream other online content together. And now, the Airtime app has made it possible to watch YouTube videos with your friends. This app will turn your anti-social life upside down as it ensures you to watch YouTube, hand-picked movies and shows, or listen and share music from SoundCloud with your friends living in any corner in the world. This app is available for free of cost.
It allows you to send signals to your friends and family to watch or listen to your hand-picked movies, shows, and music. You can connect to ten friends at a time and see their real-time reaction. They also offer in-app purchases that provide exclusive access to live-paid events, unique reactions, and features messages. You can subscribe via iTunes as well. Airtime Room Set-Up
Download this app on your Android or iOS device and fill in all the required information to set-up your profile. Ask your friends, with whom you want to connect, to download the app as well. Add your friends for video chat and then create a room on the app to watch the content together. Tap on ‘Create a Room’ and send an invite to your friends for joining and then hit the Next button. You can choose the group to be Secret or Party. The Secret room will allow only the invited friends to see and use that room, whereas friends of friends can also join in the Party room.
You can tweak the name of the room as well by following these steps:
- Go to Settings at the top right corner of the screen.
- Click on the room’s description to customize the color, theme, name, and description of the room.
- From the same section, you can also choose to delete the history. It will remove all the shared media and messages as well.
Features in the Room
Once you have created the room, send an alert to your friends for using the video chat feature in the app. Go to the room you’ve created and at the top right corner, click on the hand-like icon to alert them. Select any video or music you want to watch with your friends while they start to join in the room and its alerts. Click on the popcorn icon to find a suitable movie, show, or video to watch and then click on the ‘Post to Room’ button to begin. The app offers you to chat with your friends while watching, and send emojis, sounds, and GIFs in the room using the Stickers, Sounds, and Reaction icon at the bottom of the screen. You can also exchange messages by clicking on the Messages icon.
