If you are looking for any laptop that can give you a productive work and gaming experience, then Lenovo has a perfect solution. The IdeaPad Gaming 3i 15 is the ideal laptop by Lenovo. It is an affordable laptop that comes with better battery life, decent size touchpad, a comfortable keyboard, and a dedicated graphics card.

There is no rear port hub on this laptop, unlike the Legion Series by Lenovo. The laptop is well-designed, and the color combination is the positive part of this device. All the ports in this device are positioned traditionally.
But the device fails on the cable management part. With this device, you will get on USB-C 3.1, USB-A 3.1 (Gen 1), RJ45 Ethernet, HDMI 2.0, and a 3.5mm audio jack. But the device doesn’t have microSD or SD card reader, no thunderbolt 3, that might affect its overall review.
If you plug-in a gaming mouse, then you are left with just one USB port. Understandably, Lenovo is trying to keep the IdeaPad series different from the Legion series. But avoiding the rear port hub is not a solution.
It has the 1.5-Watt speakers that are located in front of the laptop. But when you are talking about gaming laptops, you need a device with perfect sound quality.
There is a 720p front-facing camera just above the display. The company has added a privacy shutter with that camera. The camera quality is average, but it is decent in this price tag. You will not face any issue while performing jobs like video conferencing, but if you are a vlogger, then you may need a webcam for better video quality.

The laptop’s display doesn’t have the QHD display option, and there is a lack of brightness. The screen of this device has the 120Hz refresh rate that supports the GPU of the laptop. It is impressive, but the rest of the specs are not up to the mark. The response time of the device is average and there is a scope of improvement. If you play any fast-paced games, then you might face a slow response time.
Color reproduction is excellent and contrast is good as it doesn’t allow the display to look washed out. One of the significant issues with the display is the brightness. The laptop gets the brightness up to the 306 nits.
Gaming Experience
The IdeaPad Gaming 3i 15 has some similar features like Legion series. Both the devices have the “Q Control” function that can allow the players to switch between three different modes like “Quiet,” “Balance,” and “Performance.” The Legion series laptop has the LED on the power button that can notify you when you change the modes, but in the IdeaPad series, you will get an on-screen notification concerning the switching of the mode.
You can also play games like Red Dead Redemption 2 on this device. The performance of this game on this device is average with 62-frame per second. It doesn’t look great, but you can enjoy this game at 1080p resolution. You can also test the laptop’s performance by playing games like Counter-Strike and Grounded.

It is an affordable laptop for those who don’t want to spend more and generally use external monitors for playing games. But the laptop is for not those who wish to get high-end gaming experience.
