They will not miss the Community Day of August at any cost because they are desperate to get the “Gyarados.” Before the release of Community Day, Niantic added the Splash Ticket in Pokémon Go, which is available for only $0.99.
The Splash Ticket is available for purchasing, and after getting the ticket, players will be able to access the Magikarp Community Day’s Field Research tasks. These tasks will contain some challenges that will provide some interesting rewards after completing it. However, players will not be able to play those tasks before the beginning of Community Day.
Every month Community Day happens on a specific date and timing. If any player has the Splash Ticket, they can activate it on Community Day. It is impossible to use the purchased ticket before the event starts. Once the Community Day activates, they can use the Splash Ticket in the early hours. Players will have 6 hours to complete the task and claim its rewards.
Indeed, every player doesn’t prefer to purchase the tickets, but they will get Community Day. Community Day will be available for every player of the game. During the event, Magikarp will spawn everywhere on the map. Players will be more likely to find the shiny Magikarp as well. From Niantic, it is confirmed that Shiny Magikarp will be available too.
The normal Magikarp and the shiny Magikarp are quite different in color, and any player can tell which one is a shiny Magikarp. Even if any player evolves the shiny Magikarp, it will remain in the shiny form, but according to the Pokémon, there could be some new color replacement.
To evolve a Magikarp, it takes at least 400 candies. It’s a huge amount, but it can be completed if players collect it on Community Day. If players use “Pinap Berries,” they can collect the candies quickly. Collecting the candies of Magikarp will take some extra effort and time, but its evolution (Gyarados) is worth it. Gyarados is a powerful water/flying-type Pokémon that is perfect for raid battles and league matches.
Purchasing the ticket is not mandatory for every player. Tickets will only provide some additional tasks. If any player wants to get some extra rewards, they should take the Splash Ticket.
