Minecraft Can’t Connect to Server? Here are the Fixes

 Minecraft is the most famous sandbox video game all across the world. It offers you a 3D world experience and different types of challenges to enhance your skills. But according to several players, they are reporting that when trying to run the game, the ‘Minecraft can’t connect to server’ error appears on their screen. Restart the Network

  1. Firstly, detach the modem and router, then wait for a while.
  2. After that, connect it again.
  3. Now, reopen Minecraft.

Login to the Minecraft Account Again

First, you need to sign out of your Minecraft account. Restart the browser, wait for a few minutes, and then try logging in to your account again.

Flush the DNS and Renew the IP

  1. Navigate to the Search section on your system.
  2. Afterward, insert ‘cmd’ in it and hit the Enter button to launch the Command Prompt.
  3. Once you have opened it, right-click on it, then choose the ‘Run as administrator’ option.
  4. Go to the screen of the command prompt and input ‘ipconfig /flushdns.’
  5. Now, hit the Enter key.
  6. You should insert ‘ipconfig /renew’ into the blank and hit the Enter button.

Modify the DNS Server

  1. Open the Run command prompt by hitting Win and R keys together.
  2. Thereafter, insert ‘ncpa.cpl’ in it and select the OK button to launch the ‘Network Connections’ screen.
  3. Right-click on the recent Ethernet, then select the Properties option.
  4. You should click on the ‘Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)’ option.
  5. Choose the Properties option.
  6. Mark the ‘Use the following DNS server addresses’ box.
  7. After that, input 8.8.8.8 into the ‘Preferred DNS server’ section and then insert 8.8.4.4 into the ‘Alternate DNS server.’
  8. Once you have done that, hit on the OK button.
  9. Now, reboot the system to apply the changes.

Shut the Bandwidth-hogging Programs

  1. Go to the blank area on your desktop and right-click on it.
  2. Now, pick the Task Manager option.
  3. Then click on the programs that are using the most bandwidth and tap on the ‘End task’ option.

Disable the Windows Firewall

  1. Open the Run command box.
  2. Afterward, insert ‘control firewall.cpl’ in it and select the OK button to open the Windows Defender firewall screen.
  3. Go to the left pane and click on the ‘Turn Windows Defender Firewall on or off’ option.
  4. Then choose the ‘Turn off Windows Defender Firewall’ option for Private network, Domain network, and Public network.
  5. Now, click on the OK button to apply the changes.
