CNN Political commentator Ana Navarro didn't hesitate Tuesday to share her thoughts on Stephanie Grisham while talking about her time as the White House press secretary's new memoir about her experience during the Trump administration.
"I hate it. I find everything about"late-developing consciences of people who worked within Trump's administration or in the Trump campaign or the Trump administration disgusting," Navarro said on "CNN Newsroom."
"And Look, I'm sure we enjoy the tea she spills. We are sure we enjoy the gossip she's spilling. And it's not every day that I'm in agreement with Trump supporters But she's not got any credibility."
Grisham famously failed to organize any press briefings during her time as the former president Donald Trump's press secretary, has been working closely in the Trump administration since Trump's 2016 campaign. After resigning from her position at the West Wing in April 2020, She was later appointed to be Melania Trump's first lady's Chief of Staff. She resigned on January. 6 in the wake of an incident at the U.S. Capitol riot and only a few weeks before when Trump was scheduled to depart his post.
She's been the subject of headlines in the last week, as she promoted her new book "I'll Answer Your questions Now: The Things I See during my visit to the Trump White House," which has a lot of negative information regarding her ex-bosses. In recent interviews with the media, she's criticized Trump's presidency and expressed regret at how he has allowed his dishonesty culture; however, some see her apology now as an attempt to restore her image.
"Give me an opportunity," Navarro said of the Grisham's Jan. 6-day departure. "By then, everyone in America knew who Trump was. He was certainly who she was. Based on what she wrote in her book, she was aware of who was he. He was promoting the "big lie" for two months at that point and it took until Jan. 6 to quit? There is no positive qualities in this woman and any Trump collaborators now seeking to clean their slates and are looking to earn a profit."
