Toddler missing for 3 days found safe in woods

A three-year-old boy who vanished Wednesday afternoon was found Saturday morning alive and well.

(CNN) A three-year-old boy who disappeared Wednesday afternoon in Magnolia, Texas, was discovered healthy and well.

Christopher Ramirez was reunited with his mother.
"He was smiling drinking water and was in good health," Grimes County Sheriff Don Sowell told reporters Saturday.
      The child was transported to the hospital for observation however, Sheriff Sowell confirmed that they believe that they will be fine.
        The situation was more serious a day before as the mother of the child -Araceli Nunez Araceli Nunez -- urged anyone to share details. "He is in need of his mother. Please assist me!" she pleaded in Spanish.


        In a flash

        The boy was missing about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, just moments after returning home from running errands his grandmother and mother, CNN affiliate KPRC said.
        Ramirez had chased an animal that was straying from the neighborhood while adults unloaded their vehicle the Sheriff Sowell stated.

        The dog came back, but the boy was not there so the family began searching for him. After around two hours, they contacted the police Sheriff Sowell told reporters.
        Police used four-wheelers drones, dirt bikes helicopters and 2 teams of dog, and heat sensors -- but without any luck Sheriff Sowell said.

        A total of 100 volunteer as well as different agencies helped in the ongoing search, KPRC reported. The deputies also drained at minimum one pond, as per CNN KTRK and its affiliates KTRK KTRK and KPRC.

        Police said they also scoured vehicles around the area after they found out that the child was often found hiding in cars, KTRK reported.

        On Wednesday the 13th of March, the Good Samaritan found the child, who was five miles away from the place he was missing according to KPRC.

        "Last night , I was at an Bible study that we do every Friday. there were several people discussing this little boy who had disappeared and was a surprise to me." one of the people who discovered Ramirez stated during an interview. "I was then prompted through the Spirit to tell me"I will search for the boy. You'll search for him in through the forest.'"

        The next morning The next morning, the man told police he wanted to help in the search efforts. Two an hour later, he claimed there was a sound. Initially, the man believed the animal was responsible.
        It was actually the boy who so many people were looking for.
          "Picked him up. He wasn't shaking, the man wasn't worried He was calm," the man stated.
          Sheriff Sowell admitted that they are not quite sure how the child was able to live by himself over three weeks in the remote heavily wooded zone in between Houston to College Station.
